1. Assumption of Risk

I understand that working with or being around horses and other animals involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

• Being kicked, bitten, stepped on, pushed, or struck by an animal

• Animals reacting unpredictably to sounds, sudden movements, or other animals

• Slips, falls, or injuries due to uneven terrain, mud, or ranch equipment

• Injuries resulting from handling animals or being near them

I voluntarily assume all risks associated with visiting Spirit Walker Ranch and participating in any ranch-related activities.

2. Release of Liability

I release, waive, and hold harmless Spirit Walker Ranch, its owners, operators, volunteers, staff, and affiliates from any liability, claims, demands, damages, or causes of action that may arise from my presence or participation on the property.

This includes injuries or damages resulting from:

• Interaction with horses or other animals

• Ranch activities or demonstrations

• Environmental hazards typical of farms or ranches

I understand that participation and presence on the property is voluntary.

3. Ranch Safety Rules

For the safety of visitors, volunteers, and animals, I agree to follow all ranch rules and instructions provided by staff.

I understand and agree that:

• Closed-toe shoes are required when visiting or working around animals.

• Do not feed any animals unless specifically instructed by ranch staff.

• Do not enter stalls, paddocks, or fenced areas without permission and supervision from staff.

• Animals may only be approached or handled when a staff member or volunteer provides instruction.

• I will remain aware of my surroundings and respect animal boundaries at all times.

Failure to follow ranch safety rules may result in being asked to leave the property.

4. Health & Medical Responsibility

I confirm that I am physically capable of participating in ranch activities and understand that Spirit Walker Ranch does not provide medical insurance for visitors or volunteers.

I accept full responsibility for any medical expenses that may result from injuries sustained while on the property.

5. Emergency Contact

In case of an emergency, Spirit Walker Ranch may contact the person listed below.

6. Photography & Media Release

I grant permission for Spirit Walker Ranch to photograph or film activities on the property for educational, promotional, or social media purposes unless I notify the ranch otherwise in writing.

7. Texas Equine Activity Liability Act Notice

WARNING

Under Texas law (Chapter 87, Civil Practice and Remedies Code), an equine professional is not liable for an injury to or the death of a participant in equine activities resulting from the inherent risks of equine activities.

8. Agreement

By signing below, I confirm that I have read and understand this waiver and voluntarily agree to its terms.
